Biographical details:

1935 Born in Budapest, Hungary
1957-1960 Became an Associate at the Royal College of Art
1963-1985 Lecturer at Farnham, Guildford and Epsom Colleges of Art
1965 Awarded the ‘Kate Greenaway Medal for Illustration’
1975 Awarded the ‘Kate Greenaway Medal for Illustration’
1993 Elected a Member of the Pastel Society
2004-2007 Elected the Vice President of the Pastel Society


Artist's statement:

I have spent my lifetime drawing, having illustrated over 250 books. My main interest is drawing the human figure and animals from life. The mediums I use are pastel pencil, pastel, carbon pencil and watercolour.

Regularly exhibit at the Mall Galleries and provincial galleries.
