Threadneedle Art Prize Internship
An intern is needed for The Threadneedle Art Prize (www.threadneedleprize.com) to work 1-2 days a week through May. The intern will primarily help with artist online registrations, emailed enquiries to the Prize and the pre-selection procedure for sculpture submissions. Other duties may include research of appropriate artists (and encouraging artists to submit via email or in-person), help with press work and mailings, and updating of social media sites.
The intern will need to be available June 5th – 7th for the Prize Receiving Days and possibly the 13/14 on the Collection Days. These days will be spent at the 3 Mills Studio on the East End, as opposed to Mall Galleries (on Pall Mall near Trafalgar Square), where the internship will regularly be based during the month of May.
The Threadneedle Prize is the most valuable prize for a single work of art in the UK and has the second-largest hand-in in the UK. We’ve received a lot of positive press the past two years and hope to improve on the show even more this year. The intern will be contributing to the smooth running of the prize but will also have the opportunity to provide feedback and ideas to improve the show. The internship is unpaid but travel expenses will be reimbursed.
