Society of Wildlife ArtistsThe Natural Eye
Thu 31 October - Sun 10 November 2013, 10am to 5pm (closes 1pm on final day)
The annual exhibition of the Society of Wildlife Artists is a showcase for the very best of art inspired by the natural world. A superb mix of painting and drawing, sculpture and printmaking will be complemented by a display area of projects and expedition work.
‘Out of the Frame’ will give a taste of how some of the Society’s member artists approach their work and show the journey they take to find inspiration. This year the SWLA are celebrating their 50th anniversary.
Throughout the exhibition there will be at least one SWLA Member artist in the gallery available for advice and comment from visitors to the show. Some of the artists will have sketchbooks and portfolios or show their work in progress or demonstrate drawing and painting methods.
