Although my work is void of depicting humans it is still very much about them, as appose to depicting people I depict their creations, habitat and environment. Interpreting the urban landscape around me and using a bold colour palette I immerse myself in a process a rearranging and layering areas of the landscape, here I aim to transform the everyday mundane areas of the cityscape into a surreal dreamlike image with the layering and re-fragmenting of shapes, lines and colours around me. I am able to build up images of information and depth to my work, choosing to keep some areas instantly recognisable and others impossible to decipher in their origins.
