Victoria Jinivizian NEAC

Statement

Victoria's work is largely about interior spaces of personal significance. It is always conscious of abstract composition and shape while maintaining a strong sense of the particular place and atmosphere. She lives and works in a converted chapel in Wiltshire.

Methodology

Everything starts with drawing from observation. Drawing for Victoria is a constant and necessary activity - an ineluctable response to the world and to find compositions for paintings. She develops ideas through watercolour studies and then prepares hand-made traditional gesso panels for oil painting.
