Will is a figurative painter, whose primary focus is portraiture. Some of his paintings document quietly observed moments, offering a glimpse into the subject’s mental state and experiences. Other works serve as painted collages, abstracting and reassembling different viewpoints to reflect how we perceive the world around us. Ultimately, it is an emphasis on psychology that unifies these different approaches.
Born in 1994, Will opted to circumvent the art school route, complementing his interest in people by studying Psychology at the University of Bath.
Since graduating in 2016, Will has pursued fine art as a career, completing several portrait commissions.
In 2017, Will and his work were showcased by the fashion label Hackett London, which included an eight-month-long exhibition in their Spitalfields gallery.
