A Note on Older and Missing Catalogues

The Federation of British Artists was founded in 1961, the starting point for much of the collection.

For older and missing catalogues, we recommend consulting the V&A Archives (Royal Society of British Artists, Royal Institute of Oil Painters, Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours), London Metropolitan Archives (Royal Society of Portrait Painters), Tate Archives (New English Art Club), or the Society's Archivist (Felicity House PS for the Pastel Society, Robert Brindley RSMA for the Royal Society of Marine Artists).
