Mall Galleries run a vibrant Community Engagement scheme
We promote innovative and creative partnerships across different sectors. The Galleries place particular importance on reaching out to diverse audiences, including those that may face different barriers preventing them from engaging with the arts. We offer free workshops and projects for community groups, including takeover exhibitions, outreach visits and professional development discussions with group representatives. Moreover, we run various community initiatives in partnership with cultural and academic organisations from all over the UK.
Some of the audiences that we collaborate with are
- Dementia sufferers
- Housing associations
- University of the Third Age learners
- Art & heritage societies
- Refugee groups
- Children with special educational needs
- Audiences facing emotional and behavioural difficulties
- Young people at risk of exclusion
Our recent partners include The Royal Parks, Notting Hill Housing, The National Gallery, Being Human, Capital Arts, Barnet Refugee Services, artsdepot and the Wandsworth Museum.
