My Travels across New Mexico in the Footsteps of Georgia O’Keeffe

Legendary American artist Georgia O’Keeffe lived in and painted the New Mexico desert for over five decades, calling it “My Backyard”.

In September 2017 artist and art historian Lydia Bauman travelled in her footsteps to find the iconic landscape motifs O’Keeffe made her own. This is an account of her journey, her adventures, her insights into Georgia O’Keeffe and her own artistic challenge as a landscape painter.

Join Lydia for this illustrated talk taking place in the context of her exhibition Looking for Georgia where, using her inovative mixed media technique she casts a new light onto “Georgia O’Keeffe country”.

The talk will be followed by a tour of the exhibition.
