Patterns in the Urban Landscape

Scott-Miller-Melissa-Bloomsbury Square with Cordelia.jpg

Using the immediate environment of Mall Galleries, you will study the natural patterns and rhythms in the landscape by looking at elements such as brickwork, leaves and foliage. You will then meet back at the Mall's Learning Centre to discuss composition and the use of observational drawing as a design tool.

Please bring your own materials for both painting and drawing, also a sketching stool would be useful.

Melissa Scott-Miller is a graduate of the Slade School, and is also a member of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters. She has won a number of awards including The Lynn Painter Stainer prize in 2008.

This event will be capped at 20 places. All levels are welcome.
