“There’s nothing between my ears” - The Story of 'Pete the Street'

Peter Brown PNEAC RP PS ROI Hon RBA will guide you through how he became a ‘see and put’ painter. Known as ‘Pete the Street’, he'll discuss what drives him and how he got to where he is today.

This lighthearted talk will cover all aspects of Pete's plein air experiences including dealing with the council, selling in pubs, empty shop windows, painting on the street, up to meeting Peter Khufeld and working with the Victoria Art Gallery. Pete will talk about his early years, his five-year foray into Modernism at Manchester, and his return to objective painting inspired by moving back to Bath in 1993.

The talk will be illustrated by recent work and followed by a Q&A.
