On display in London for the first time, Oriental Culture Research Center brings a collection of Thangkas, traditional paintings on cotton and silk depicting the life of the Buddha or the ritual symbol of a Mandala, along with other sacred and precious objects from Buddhist China. The Thangkas date from the Tang Dynasty (7th to 10th centuries), Ming Dynasty (14th to 17th centuries) and Qing Dynasty (17th to 20th centuries), giving an impressive overview of the history of both Chinese Art and Buddhism.
Representatives of the Venerable Master’s Educational Foundations will be on hand during the exhibition to explain more about his teachings and idea that “Buddhism should be an education, not a religion”.
