Graeme Wilcox graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 1993. Since then he has continued working as a painter. His work mainly depicts people frozen in motion or caught in moments of reflection or heightened emotion.
In slight contrast to these paintings, the subjects of Graeme’s portraits very rarely appear unguarded or relaxed, they are all too aware they are being studied. But even within the artificial set up of a portrait hopefully something human, some element of character is exposed.
