The Lonely One Percent
The specific experiences I have that result in paintings are not important to the viewer; I only want them to feel how I felt, understand the emotional impact a landscape had on my thoughts in that one moment.
Although initially, it may seem like I strive for beauty within my work, I only try to capture the effects nature can have on a person, which are often exhilaration, joy and exhaustion.
Using restricted close palettes, the image goes in and out of focus - you'll catch yourself looking deeper and deeper into its own personal meaning for you.
