Artist Statement

This painting was made right after the Notre Dame fire. The core of this painting is a portrait of my friend's mother in her private personal moment. She represents the lady, the Dame as a metaphor to Notre Dame. The Being behind her is on fire as a literal narration of the story.

I have changed Notre (Our) to Votre (Your), to point out to the issue of hypocrisy, when wealthy people of the world unite and invest millions to rebuild Notre Dame, but other more alarming issues of humanity right now are left unnoticed.
