An overworked reed bunting is feeding the young cuckoo constantly with anything and everything and although there is a dragonfly in its large gape already, the poor little unwitting parent has quickly arrived with yet more food!  This baby is insatiable!

The reeds were made and fired separately and inserted into the already made base of short reeds.  The nest is constructed of various wires interspersed with copper leaves and strips of copper grass and then wired onto the base piece and also to the outer tall reeds.  The ceramic cuckoo is fixed into the nest underneath. Ceramic and wire make up the reed bunting and the insects.
