In Wells next to the sea, walking away from the town to the sandy beach car park. The car park is on the right. Looking over to the left side near the lifeboat station there’s a small walk through lined with sea buckthorn. In this small patch there are often bullfinches and long-tailed tits. I do often see more birds at this patch than in the pine woods. The sketches of the sea buckthorn were from this location. The long-tailed tits were far too fast to sketch. Over lockdown, the long-tailed tits visited the garden feeders outside the studio in Kent and were much easier to sketch from the studio.
