Inspired by Peasholm Park in my home town. The park is over 100 years old and features a diverse range of trees, such as the very rare Dickson's Golden Elm. There’s a quiet, serene atmosphere and over the years the park has inspired several of my artworks, I particularly love the combination of snow and evergreen trees. Trees have symbolic significance for me. Some never lose their leaves and they feel like the people, places and values in our lives that give us our foundation, our strength - always there. Others change through the seasons and represent the elements of life that are transient yet vital and the way we evolve as we negotiate life's peaks and troughs.
