This drawing made plen-air is a local view a few hundred metres from my home. A regular sight on daily lockdown walks, the development of the sight into grazing land, has seen the old branch line being slowly filled in. Largely unpopular with locals, I have been watching the altering landscape with interest. The transience of this particular view has made it all the more appealing and drawing contre-jour added tension with the bridge burnt out by light and the contrasting heaps of hardcore in stark contrast in the foreground.
