In such turbulent and troubled times we are delighted to announce that the long-awaited Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year 2020 shortlist is here to soothe and inspire.
Once again the standard of global entries has not only displayed incredible technical prowess but the most evocative and powerful storytelling. Nearly 9000 images were submitted from over 70 countries around the world.
The global competition, which celebrates its tenth anniversary next year, continues to help connect us and offer an exclusive insight into the universal language of food culture.
Traditionally, the competition culminates in an Awards evening at Mall Galleries, London. Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year 2020 is committed to recognising the hard work, creativity and dedication of every entrant. Therefore, despite the COVID-19 lockdown, the Awards are going ahead - but the celebrations are going digital!
The Awards will be announced on 28 April at 8pm simultaneously on the Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year Facebook page and YouTube channel. The pre-recorded video will be shown live allowing for the global audience, participants and sponsors to enjoy the announcement at the same time and in the comfort of their own homes.
Chair of the Judges is the legendary food photographer David Loftus. This year his panel includes Chris Dee, Director, Food and Home, Harrods; Per-Anders Jorgensen, Photographer and Founder, Fool Magazine; Josh Lustig, Picture Editor, Financial Times Weekend Magazine; Vitalie Taittinger, President, Champagne Taittinger.
