I initially I was drawn to the little red stone, so diffrent to the chalky estuary mud which had washed over everything else. I was waiting fo rmy son, he was late, I had little else to look at or draw. As I waited the layers in this image revealed themselves, reflected leaves, the almost kaleidoscope effect as the light changed. I wondered where the red stone had come from. After a while it began to look beautiful.
