After the Rain: Signs of Brightening
"An interest in the environmental issues we face today greatly influences my work, a vehicle within which I feel able to portray my thoughts and feelings surrounding this subject. The earth has no louder voice than the weather. These thoughts are at the forefront during the painting process with the application and removal of paint and the making of marks. My process somewhat mirrors our daily actions, resulting in the ever-changing seasons and face of our landscape.
After the Rain: Signs of Brightening was completed after a period of prolonged rain and is finished in a bespoke hand-painted frame with museum AR70 Artglass."
