"Reference was from a summer storm at Rye Harbour, East Sussex. The waves were sketched out utilising elements from a series of photos taken on repeat exposure. Painted on Fabriano Artistico NOT paper, using both wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry techniques. Some paper was left white or masked for the surf, while some highlights were painted with opaque white watercolour. Framed in a contemporary grey/blue frame with thick and thin double white mounts."
