"Reference was photographs taken from Southwold Pier. The composition was sketched out and manipulated in Photoshop. Painted on Fabriano Artistico NOT paper, using both wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry techniques. Some paper was left white or masked for the surf, while some highlights were painted with opaque white watercolour. Framed in a contemporary grey/blue frame with thick and thin double white mounts."
