Description
This painting was completed in lockdown and is a nod to Hieronymus Bosch's 15th Century painting 'The Ship of Fools'. The sea levels have risen, and various household items float past, but amongst the passenger's romance and intrigue still blossom. The application of the paint spans the range from thin free-form washes to highly textured impastos. The title is borrowed from a novel by Margaret Atwood.
