I painted this picture whilst on a painting trip to Cornwall. I had agreed to meet first thing at the cliff edge in Treliga, North Cornwall. I got there too early, 6 am, and no one else was there. It was a very grey morning but as I set my easel up the sun came over the headland and lit up the distant cliffs - a real treat. By the time my colleagues arrived the magic had gone and it was once again grey. They say "the early bird catches the worm"!
