"This profile painting of Elisabetta is inspired by the stunning series of profile portraits done by Antonio del Pollaiolo, an Italian artist who lived and worked during the Renaissance in Florence. This beautiful work of art is part of the collection of the museum Poldi Pezzoli in Milan, the town where I was born. My aunt use to show me this museum every time she came to visit us from Rome and I remember beeing struck by the beauty of this woman painted in profile.
My grandmother was a painter as well and she painted a profile of all the members of my family.
I believe I have a strong link to this pose that I truly love."
