‘Art makes visible otherwise hidden cultural and psychological forces’, Gottfried Richter.After spending most of my life as a sculptor, sculpture teacher and student of sculpture, my ideas, reasons and attitude towards sculpture are constantly changing.

Bio

1944 Born in London, England

1961-64 Studied at High Wycombe College of Art, Buckinghamshire

1964-66 National Diploma in Design, specialising in Sculpture and Lettercutting at Camberwell School of Art

1966-68 Postgraduate Sculpture at City & Guilds School of Art

1968-69 Sculpture Assitant to Kim James, Uli Nimptch RA, David McFall RA, James Butler RA and Cubitt Bevis FRBS

1969-71 Lecturer in Sculpture, Drawing and Anatomy at Heatherley School of Fine Art

1971-72 Head of School. Heatherley-Wilson School of Art

1973-93 Principal Lecturer/Acting Head of Fine Art at Sir John Cass Faculty of Art at London Guildhall University

1973-93 President of the Thomas Heatherley Educational Trust

1993- External Assessor for Sculpture DiplomaVisiting tutor at City and Guilds Sculpture School, Slade and the Heatherley School of Fine Art
