5 Events You Can Host at Mall Galleries
While renowned as a home of art, Mall Galleries is also one of Central London's most adaptable venues for a variety of events. Events at Mall Galleries can either utilise the blank canvas of up to three galleries or use one of the many exhibitions taking place throughout the year as an appealing backdrop.

1. Fashion Shows
The high ceilings, track lighting, and neutral walls of the West Gallery make the perfect runway setting, while the East Gallery can act as a stylish showroom. London College of Fashion hired the galleries during London Fashion week, and our central location made it easy for press and guests to attend, whilst the adaptable layout ensured the event production from backstage preparations to final catwalk, ran smoothly.
2. Award Ceremonies
Mall Galleries recommends trusted local suppliers who can coordinate the equipment for prize-giving events. The World Food Photography Awards saw an impressive staging set up with screens and sound equipment, with room for 350 standing guests. Use of the onsite fully equipped kitchen meant caterers could offer refreshments and canapés to all guests, while the Mall location, steps from Buckingham Palace, adds a touch of prestige to the evening.
3. Dinners
Our galleries can be transformed into an intimate dining space, whether that is utilising the blank canvas setting or a unique experience dining amongst contemporary artwork. Astrum Wine Cellars recently held a dinner to celebrate their wonderful wine producers from across Europe during the Pastel Society Annual Exhibition. Guests were serenaded by a live band, while an exhibiting artist offered complimentary portrait sketches.
4. Drink Tastings
The open layout of the galleries are perfect for tasting stations, hosting talks, and networking opportunities, allowing the drinks to take centre stage. Berry Bros & Rudd, Britain's oldest wine and spirit merchant, took over the galleries for a Bordeaux wine tasting, bringing together over 50 of the region’s top châteaux for guests to sample. Their full day hire meant they could offer both an afternoon and evening session to different clients.
5. Product Launches
The galleries are the perfect blank canvas for product launches of all types. Habitat transformed the space to present its new collection to press and buyers, creating beautiful displays and even offering a coffee truck. Mall Galleries staff were on hand to welcome guests to the event, and support the Habitat team with anything they needed.
