Lyon & Turnbull and Tomkinson Churcher present a remarkable collection of travel, railway and London Underground posters, offering a journey across Britain, Europe and beyond, with France and Italy particularly well represented alongside iconic British destinations.

Featuring rare and striking designs, the selection highlights some of the United Kingdom’s most celebrated locations, from historic cities such as Edinburgh, Harrogate, Cambridge, York and Lincoln to areas of natural beauty including Loch Etive, Rhuddlan Castle, Aberglaslyn, the Yorkshire Moors and Ullswater in the Lake District.

The collection also reflects Britain’s rich seaside heritage, with classic coastal resorts including Bridlington, Burnham-on-Sea, Blackpool, Exmouth, Newquay, Weston-super-Mare, St Ives, Paignton and Whitby, capturing the enduring appeal of traditional holidays by the sea.

Highlights from London include a fine Art Deco example of Kenwood & Hampstead by George Sheringham, alongside a dramatic portrayal of a tranquil Whitehall, c.1930, from St James’s Park by Norman Wilkinson.

Complementing this is an exceptional group of Irish travel posters, previously exhibited in Donaghadee. This distinguished collection includes works by the renowned Irish artist Paul Henry, whose compositions capture Ireland’s unspoilt landscapes, expansive skies and tranquil lakes and coastlines.
