Statement

Kayoon Anderson (b.1997, Seoul) is a London-based artist working with oil paint. Having studied architecture before training as a painter, she aims to present structured yet harmonious environments within which her figures sit. Taking inspiration from European medieval paintings and munbangdo still-lives, her imagined domestic scenes call to her mixed heritage, bringing together memories of her childhood in Korea and the UK.
