NEAC Annual Exhibition 2022 | Award - Winners

Exhibition Dates: 23 June – 9 July 2022

  • The Doreen McIntosh Prize

£3,000 in order to reflect the best in figurative painting in British Art, The Doreen McIntosh Prize is for an artist whose work fulfils the New English Art Club’s ideals of rigour, immediate engagement with the visual and a searching attitude.

Awarded to Kenneth Le Riche, House, Giant Figures and Perspectival Inconsistencies, 90 x 120 cm (96 x 126 cm framed)

 

  • Chris Beetles Gallery Prize for Figurative Art

£2,500 for a non-member artist. Selected by Chris Beetles of Chris Beetles Gallery, St James's, London.

  •  The Michael Harding Award

£500 worth of art materials

  •  The NEAC Critics' Prize

£250 cash prize

  • The Anthony J. Lester Art Critic Award

A certificate and cheque for £100

The four prizes were awarded to Katherine Jackson, Self Portrait, 26 x 20 cm (28 x 22 cm framed)
 

 

  • The Hermione Hammond Drawing Award 

​ £2,000 for a drawing by an emerging artist aged 35 or under

  • The Winsor & Newton Award

Art materials to the value of £500.

Both prizes were awarded to Dylan Leddington, Kenospia No. 4, 59 x 86 cm (65 x 91 cm framed)

 

  • The Bowyer Drawing Prize

Selected by the Bowyer family, £500

won by Shanti Panchal Hon RBA, The Terrace, 100 x 75 cm (123 x 97 cm framed)

 

  • The Peter Ashley Framing Prize

Presented by The Artistic Framing Company, a bespoke handmade picture frame will be created for the winning work to the value of £500.

Awarded to John Dobbs NEAC SWLA, Mush the Dairy Cow, 40 x 50 cm (47 x 57 cm framed)

  • The Milner Prize for an Emerging Artist

£500 worth of cash prize.

Awarded to Sean Cunningham For his body of work

 

 

  • The Dry Red Press Award

The winning work will be published as a greeting card in the Dry Red Press 'Prize Winners' range, with royalties from the sale of the cards going to the artist.

Awarded to  Howard Milton, Caught Red Handed56 x 56 cm (76 x 76 cm framed)

 

The NEAC Annual Exhibition runs until Saturday 9 July, 2pm at Mall Galleries, The Mall, SW1.
