Free admission, no booking required
ING Discerning Eye returns to Mall Galleries, London from 14 to 23 November, bringing together artists from across the country.
The event celebrates a wide range of art media, from print to sculptures, from all regions across the UK. To enter the competition, you can submit entries here, with entry fees ranging from £15 to £70. The exhibition celebrates small works, and so entries must have a maximum height of 50cm including framework
The ING Discerning Eye Exhibition is known for its unique selection process. Each selector curates their own section of the show, choosing a mix of personally invited artists, often more established names they know and admire, and works selected through the open submission, spotlighting emerging talent. This creates a rare opportunity for lesser-known artists to exhibit alongside well-known figures in the art world.
Anyone whose work reflects the world from a fresh angle, preferably with wit and a compelling composition, has my vote.
Proudly supported by Dutch bank ING for 27 years, the ING Discerning Eye Exhibition is one of the longest-running commercial art sponsorships in the UK. Since it began in 1999, 15,000 works by over 4,000 artists have been exhibited, over £300,000 has been awarded in prizemoney, and over £1.4 million worth of art has been sold on behalf of the artists.
The ING Discerning Eye 2025 is open now!
It's inspiring and thrilling, and I know the show resulting from the invitation to exhibit at Mall Galleries will be like nothing I could imagine.
