Free admission, no booking required
On Saturday 11 October, 11am to 12.30pm, vocalist Jessica Friend and cellist Daniel O’Brien will perform alongside Mal Fostock’s exhibition in the West Gallery.
The duo has crafted a 90-minute set combining cello, piano, and voice. Blending selected repertoire with improvisation and original compositions, they present subtle melodic undertones designed to create an immersive and deeply emotive experience.
Jessica Friend and Daniel O'Brien met fifteen years ago studying at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, with Daniel studying Cello and Jessica pursuing Vocal and Operatic training.
Since then, Jessica has developed an international profile as a Vocal Coach and Performer, completing an MA in Musical Theatre at the esteemed Mountview, London. She brings a blend of emotional and physical connection to her work, grounded in scientific knowledge as she nears completion of her Estill Master Training.
Daniel performs as a soloist and in quartets, regularly appearing at Fever Candlelight concerts and private functions. Together they create atmospheric improvised work with Cello, Piano and Voice.
Come along to Mall Galleries from 11am on Saturday 11 October, to enjoy their performance alongside your visit to Mal Fostock's exhibition, INCLUSION.
