At Mall Galleries, we are proud to regularly host charitable exhibitions that raise funds and awareness for valuable causes. One such exhibition is the inaugural event by The Sick Children’s Trust, Together Through Art, which opens on Tuesday 10th February 2026.

Every year The Sick Children’s Trust provides over 3,200 families who have a critically ill child in hospital with a vital ‘Home from Home’ at what is a traumatic and distressing time. It’s somewhere they can feel reassured and safe knowing they can be by their sick child’s bedside in minutes, they can cook a meal, rest, sleep and shower so they can face the day ahead and best support their child’s recovery.

The Trust chose to hold an art exhibition as their next fundraising initiative because they wanted to try something completely new. Hosting an art exhibition felt like a fresh and creative way to raise funds while also telling their story in a different medium. The organisers were inspired after seeing a locally run exhibition in support of a hospice, which illustrated to them how powerful and meaningful art can be in bringing people together for a cause.

"The exhibition also allows us to engage with a new and broader audience, including people who may not typically attend our other fundraising events but have a strong interest in art and creativity."

- The Sick Children's Trust

Importantly, it’s an inclusive initiative: by offering both a physical exhibition and an online experience, everyone can take part and enjoy the artwork, regardless of location or accessibility. Overall, it is the perfect opportunity to combine creativity, community, and fundraising in a way that’s both inspiring and accessible.

Together Through Art is a showcase of creativity, inspiration, and togetherness. This special event hosts a collection of wonderful artists, united by one purpose: to help keep families together when they need it most. And all the money raised will make sure that no sick child faces hospital alone.

“We hope that visitors to our exhibition will not only see the wonderful art on display but that they’ll be inspired to support The Sick Children’s Trust by buying a piece of artwork and that they’ll learn more about what we do and will donate much needed funds.” - The Sick Children's Trust.

The ultimate aim is that Together Through Art will raise a significant amount of funds for The Sick Children’s Trust and also raise awareness for the charity among new audiences.

When asked why they decided to host their inaugural exhibition at Mall Galleries, the organisers said:

“We chose to host our exhibition at Mall Galleries because it offered everything we were looking for in a venue. Its central London location makes it easily accessible for visitors, helping us reach a wide and diverse audience. Mall Galleries also has an excellent reputation and is a well-established venue, which gave us great confidence in hosting our inaugural exhibition there.

As the home of the Federation of British Artists, the gallery has a strong connection to the arts, and the space itself is truly beautiful. When we first walked in, it immediately had a real ‘wow’ factor that felt perfect for showcasing the exhibition. Just as importantly, the team at Mall Galleries came across as genuinely supportive and enthusiastic, really wanting to help us create a wonderful and successful event.”

We are so excited that a number of artists who frequently exhibit with FBA societies will also be on display during Together Through Art, including Lucy Pulvers, a newly elected member of the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours. We had the opportunity to chat to Lucy about her practice and her participation:

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and your practice?

I am a British-Australian artist, born in 1989 in Kyoto, Japan and currently living and working in Sydney, Australia. I spent much of my childhood in Japan, where I began to draw and paint. I began my artistic career concentrating on watercolour painting and also trained in oil painting so now I work in both mediums.

I have exhibited with the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours at the Mall Galleries for the last seven years. In 2025, I was very pleased to have been elected a member of the RI.

Why are you participating in ‘Together Through Art’?

Last year, I was closely involved in helping to look after one of my nephews who was hospitalised for nearly a month with a very serious health condition that required surgery. At that time, I became aware of how valuable the support given to families by charities like The Sick Children’s Trust. For this reason, I was more than happy to be able to make a contribution to the ‘Together Through Art’ exhibition.

What would you hope for visitors to take away from the exhibition?

I think it is always a good thing when artists and the general public come together to support causes helping to make our world a kinder place for everyone.

Together Through Art will open in the East Gallery from Tuesday 10 February 2026 - Saturday 14 February 2026, 10am to 5pm and Sunday 15 February 2026, 10am to 2pm. Free admission to all.
