Tchaikovsky & Dvořák at Mall Galleries | London Euphonia Orchestra
- 7.30pm | Mall Galleries
Booking required. Tickets available on the London Euphonia Orchestra website.
Join us at Mall Galleries on 26 September for a special evening of orchestral music, taking place on the final day of the Royal Society of Marine Artists Annual Exhibition.
The programme brings together two celebrated works of the nineteenth-century repertoire: Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto in D major, performed by violinist Isaac Williams, and Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9 ‘From the New World’, conducted by Dario Peluso.
Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto is known for its expressive lyricism and virtuosic writing for solo violin, moving between intimate passages and exhilarating orchestral moments. Dvořák’s Ninth Symphony, written during the composer’s time in America, draws together musical influences from both his European heritage and his new surroundings.
The concert will take place within the gallery, surrounded by the works of the Royal Society of Marine Artists. As the final day of the RSMA Annual Exhibition, it offers an opportunity to enjoy the exhibition before it closes, followed by an evening of live music in the unique setting of Mall Galleries.
