Robin-Lee Hall

  • 1962 Born in London.

  • 1981-82 Foundation at Kingston Polytechnic.

  • 1984-86 Fine Art and Critical Studies, St. Martins School of Art.

  • 1986-89 BA (Hons) Fine Art (Painting), Kingston Polytechnic.

  • 1991-2004 Taught life and general Drawing and Painting for adult education in Surrey.

  • 2005-08 Taught own classes in Portraiture, Life Drawing and Painting at the studio at Riverside Art Centre, Sunbury-on-Thames, Middlesex.

  • 2005 - 06 Taught GCSE and A-Level as visiting Artist and Tutor, Priors Field Girls School, Godalming, Surrey.

  • 2008 Appointed by National Gallery, London, to conduct workshops.

The Ondaatje Prize Winner

RP Member and past president Robin-Lee Hall was awarded the The Ondaatje Prize in 2010 for a portrait painting.

"The Ondaatje Prize for Portraiture is sponsored by Sir Christopher Ondaatje CBE OC and the Ondaatje Foundation, this generous prize of £10,000 plus the Society’s Gold Medal is awarded for the most distinguished portrait of the year.

The Prize was launched in 1995 and took the form of a commission to paint H.M. The Queen, for the Society. From 1996, the Prize has taken the form of a cheque in addition to the Society’s."
