Julia's work is all about the natural world, it has been described as ‘Nature with Attitude’ her inspiration comes from her garden and the birds in it, her early morning walks with her dog Pearl, in the 5 mile radius of her home in Somerset and her trips to India and wild places.
Julia creates limited edition original handmade prints using etching, collograph and relief print techniques on Somerset printmaking paper or Japanese paper. Her subject matter is drawn from life, birds often observed and drawn through her telescope and then worked on further in the studio.
