Frances Bell

Frances was born in Cambridge in 1983. At the age of eighteen, she left England to pursue a classical training in Florence at Charles. H. Cecil Studios. After completing her training, Bell maintained a connection with the Art School by teaching there from 2005 to 2011. The artist has participated in many exhibitions and has had solo shows in Bonhams, Edinburgh. Her prizes include The William Lock Prize, The de Laszlo Foundation Award, The First Prize Painting at Portrait Society of America and many more. 

Frances now lives in North Northumberland with her husband and two children; her time is spent completing commissioned portraiture and landscape work. She is a member of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters, the Society of Women Artists, the Royal Institute of Oil Painters and is also an Associate Member of the Royal Society of Marine Artists.
